What a Night: Capturing Community at Wright-Locke Farm’s Summer Solstice
Tuesday, June 24, 2025 | By: Johnson Photography, Inc.
Living down the street from Wright-Locke Farm in Winchester is such a gift. I walk the trails behind the farm nearly every day with my dog. I love saying hello to the chickens, goats and I always leave feeling more grounded.
That’s why it’s an honor to donate my time and talent each year to photograph the Summer Solstice Celebration. It’s one of the most joyful events and one that I always look forward to. There’s a kind of magic in seeing the community come together around important matters like sustainability, food access, and education.
This year’s event was full of energy and heart. Guests wandered the property and were treated to delicious, fresh cuisine from Kush by Saba Catering! There was a silent auction, dancing, and great conversation underneath the paper lanterns. It was the perfect kickoff to the season, and I am thrilled that Wright-Locke reached their fundraising goal.
Beyond community events, Wright-Locke Farm is also a stunning venue for weddings, corporate gatherings, and social celebrations. The historic charm, natural beauty, and welcoming atmosphere make it a one-of-a-kind backdrop for any occasion.
My goal is to capture the authenticity of your event. I aim to tell a story, and my images can help nonprofits like Wright-Locke connect with donors, volunteers, and neighbors.
If you haven’t visited yet, make a plan to stop by this summer. Whether it’s picking raspberries, attending family night, or a peaceful hike, you’ll walk away inspired.
And if you’re an organization that is looking to amplify your mission, I would love to connect.
